L.J. Hijmans van den Bergh (1963) is a member of Vereniging Aegon since 2021. He was appointed as Chairman of the Executive Committee on November 29, 2021. Until 2020, he was a lawyer at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek N.V. From 2009 – 2015, he was Chief Corporate Governance Counsel and member of the Board of Directors of Royal Ahold N.V. Currently Mr Hijmans van den Bergh serves as a member of the Supervisory Boards of ING Groep N.V., HAL Holding N.V. and Heineken N.V. He is also the chairman of the board of the Utrecht University Fund.
